July 28, 2015
On Saturday, July 25 2015, The Paramount in Huntington, Long Island and Connoisseur Media opened a new Radio studio adjacent to the venue. To celebrate the opening, WALK 97.5 FM presented a special LIVE performance with Hollywood recording artist – Andy Grammer. Performing his hit single “Honey I’m Good” as well as other songs, Andy played in studio for over 100 fans, contest winners and guests gathered street side to witness this unique show.
Broadcast live on WALK 97.5 FM Radio “The Studio @ The Paramount” showcased how the venue will present artists both live on-stage and live on-air through this unique space. Located in the storefront on 370 New York Avenue in Huntington, this newly constructed studio will offer musicians a platform to promote their concert tour and / or upcoming new music releases to over 1.6 million of Connoisseur Media Long Island’s weekly Radio listeners on any of five radio stations; WALK 97.5, K-98.3 FM, The New 103.1 MAX FM, 94-3 The Shark and WHLI 1100/1370.
The Paramount is not only committed to bringing the best in live entertainment to the market, but also to offer the talent that plays the venue, the opportunity to sell their brand to a loyal Long Island fan base. “We want to show the artists how valuable the Long Island market is to their business and to provide them with every media opportunity available to showcase their talents” The Paramount’s Directors stated. “How cool will it be to walk down New York Avenue in downtown Huntington and be able to see legendary artists being interviewed on-air by D.J.’s right in front of your eyes” they continued. “This new feature of our venue sets us apart from any other club in the world, and will provide access to a P.R. vehicle that is unmatched by what any other theater can offer its stars” they exclaimed.
According to Connoisseur Media CEO Jeff Warshaw “This studio project brings us back to basics and reminds us how cool Radio can be. Not only with our ability to be local, and hyper local in this sense, but also how we can relate and reflect the lifestyles and interests of our listeners through the music and the artists we play. This studio will connect all those dots and offer a killer experience for the artists, our audience and our radio stations.”
