CHAZ AND AJ, IN 4.5 HOURS, RAISED $162,484 IN TOYS AND CASH FOR CONNECTICUT CHILDREN’S CHARITIES

Connecticut’s most popular and Marconi winning morning team, Chaz & AJ, hosted their annual “Chaz and AJ McDermott Chevrolet and Lexus Toy Drive” this morning, from 5:30am – 10am, at Jordan’s Furniture in New Haven.

The show featured musical performances from Living Colour, Paul Nelson Band, the students of the Rock House School as well as guests as varied as U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, “Chasing Classic Cars” host Wayne Carini, and the local Mayors from Bridgeport, New Haven and East Haven.

The annual event raised $162,484 in toys and cash for local children’s charities the McGivney Community Center Bridgeport, Boys and Girls Village Milford, New Haven YMCA Youth Center, Rite-Way-4-Kids New Haven and the Boys and Girls Club of Lower Naugatuck Valley.

“The amount of generosity from our listeners today was incredible,” said a jubilant Chaz, “we are going to make a lot of kids happy this holiday season”
