WALK 97.5 FM Morning Show hosts, Anna and Raven, will bring their “Adopt + Rescue” adopt-a-thon program to The Little Shelter in Huntington, NY this Sunday, June 27^th from 12 noon until 3pm.  Listeners are encouraged to support the event by adopting a shelter dog or cat. 

“Raven and I have both adopted shelter pets and they have truly been a wonderful gift in our lives,” said host Anna Zap.  “We hope other families will feel the same way we do and will give a dog or cat their forever home.”

The June 27^th adopt-a-thon is the first event in a series of Anna and Raven pet rescue focused events across the region.  Huntington, NY was selected as the kick-off location to support the large number of pets available for adoption.  The Little Shelter, at 33 Warner Road in Huntington, has a large population of puppies, kittens, dogs and cats who need homes.  Anna and Raven will also announce the winner of a The Little Shelter’s $25,000 cash raffle.

“The folks at Little Shelter do amazing work so whatever we can do to give them exposure, get a bunch of pets adopted and truly make families happier, we are in for,” said Raven.

Anna and Raven have been all over Long Island supporting local community initiatives.  In June 2021, they helped the Patchogue-Medford High School raise money for their prom and also hosted red carpet style interviews with the attending students.  They have interviewed dozens of 2021 Long Island High School valedictorians and aired portions of their speeches on WALK 97.5.  They continue to champion the “Shop Long Island” program by recognizing businesses who are working hard to overcome economic challenges from the impact of the COVID pandemic.
