Connoisseur Media Connecticut is looking for a talk show host for weekdays on WICC AM/FM. This position will work a four-hour live talk program to air Monday through Saturday. The ideal candidate will be able to book guests, create compelling local content, field listener phone calls, and pivot subject matter as the local news cycle dictates.
Responsibilities (to include but not limited to):
- Ability to host live from our studios in Milford, Connecticut
- Experience booking guests
- Interacting with listener calls
- Create topical talk content for Fairfield County and Connecticut at-large audience
- Create compelling and timely social media content
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years in news/talk format or related experience
- Familiar with or wherewithal to learn modern radio automation systems
- Proficiency in communicating effectively
- Ability to speak extemporaneously and “think on your feet”
- Communicate with and understand the 45+ adult radio listener
- Work either midday or afternoon shift
- Demonstrate professional appearance and demeanor
