Connoisseur Media Long Island Opens a Window on the Music World, Literally!
June 17, 2016
It was last summer that Connoisseur Media and The Paramount Theater in Huntington NY opened a studio in a storefront connected to the theater, which is the 12th highest attended club worldwide. The storefront was converted into a state-of-the-art street-side broadcast facility providing the Connoisseur Long Island cluster of stations (WALK 97.5, 94.3 The Shark, 103.1 MAX-FM, K-98.3 and 1100 WHLI) the ability to have our air talent connect with a live audience in a way most radio stations never can, face-to-face. On nights when a show is happening, the stations offer the audience an opportunity to see their favorite artists up close, watch air personalities interact with them, become a part of the interview and see the artists perform street-side.
The Studio at The Paramount opened in July 2015 with Andy Grammer performing live and since has had visits from Grace Potter, Rob Thomas, Judas Priest, A Great Big World, Third Eye Blind, Gavin Rossdale, Jim Belushi, Scott Weiland, Nate Ruess, Graham Nash and many more.
103.1 MAX FM broadcasts live Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3p-7p.
94.3 The Shark broadcasts live Monday through Thursday from 7p-10p and Fridays for a special Happy Hour with Harrison from 4p-7p then live until 10p. Every station in the cluster broadcasts live for appropriate acts.
The Studio at The Paramount is located at 370 New York Ave, Huntington NY.
